so the hubs and i have decided to put our house on the market.

we have a family home we are going to move in to once ours sells.  in the meantime, i'm pinning away lots of ideas for a few updates in the new place.  i am in love with this kitchen. 

i've picked out the color to paint the cabinets called fisherman's warf and i've selected white granite countertops.  we found some lovely black twisted wrought iron handles for the cabinet on clearance for 99 cent each!  i could not pass that deal up.

when the temps are soaring in the triple digits and there's nothing better to do, you just gotta stay inside and bake bread. it's whole wheat beer bread, easy peasy.

the heat index recently in south carolina has been in the triple digits.

the woods

sometimes we all need to get back to nature.

the hubs and i spent a couple days camping in the woods with some of my family.

and let me tell you, it was very much needed.

the air was clean, the mornings chilly, the river water was fresh.

i'm longing to go back already.

it's gonna be another scorcher today and we are headed to the lake for a swim.
