my first ride in the subway...

shared a delicious lemon tart in SoHo at Once Upon a Tart...

we strolled through Central Park...(my fave)

we dined at the Bryant Park Grill and it was yummy...

If wishes were horses

do any of you know that song? by claire lynch? check it out and listen to it...describes me so well. the chorus goes: "The grass is greener on the other side. Somewhere there's a bluer sky. I won't stop runnin' 'til I'm satisfied. And if wishes were horses, I would ride, ride, ride."

you see, i have dreams, dreams of traveling. here's my list:

NYC (will be there in a week!!!!)
Ireland & Scotland
New Orleans
Savannah, GA
San Francisco
Italy
The Everglades
Wyoming and the west
New England area
Bora Bora
Paris
The Candian Rockies

i'll stop here and continue dreaming. any places i should add to this list?

Remember these?

my grandmother used to have the whole set of these. 2 chairs and a glider, painted kelly green. i remember sitting under the oak tree in her backyard in the summer, shucking corn and the smell of her boxwoods drifting through the air. there was that cold sting on the back of your thighs when you first sit on the cool metal. but it was always nice on a hot summer day. i'm eagerly looking for a pair of these for my backyard. i might paint them kelly green too.

M.I.A.

what's it been...a week? let me tell you, this chick has been busy. the hubs and i saw ingrid michaelson in concert...it was great! she is such a talented singer. we spent a couple days in charleston soaking up the sun, the sights and fattening ourselves with delightful food! i had an entire day off work all to myself. always excited about that. and i have booked my flight for NYC! i'm going up to visit my bestie and have some quality girl time and see the sights. seriously...CANNOT WAIT!

on another note: check out this dainty bracelet. wonder if the hubs would mind if i purchased it?
